Everything outside insurance. Mostly direct stakes in private companies, sometimes as the founder and sometimes alongside one, and a smaller part in listed companies we intend to hold.

Where we go in directly we take significant stakes, not minority positions, because we want to be in the room when the hard decisions get made. What comes with the money is thirty years of running businesses ourselves, including the ones that went wrong. The people who built these companies usually still run them. We stay from the day we commit, and the end date, if there is one, is not set at the start.
